I have written in other posts about the man that cured cataract, blur, a variety of eye problems with the Bates method, no teacher, just studying on his own and had success reversing glaucoma. Only 20% more vision to be restored in one eye.
Then his eye doctor talked him into going back to glasses and prescribed him the strongest prescription he ever had in his life. (At this time he went through a very stressful time in life, lost his house, was living alone and I think his vision went down due to the stress.) About 8 months or more after wearing the eyeglass prescription he went blind, then developed bleeding in the retina in one eye and cataract in other eye. Had a operation for the bleeding. Refuses cataract operation because the eye doctor said he must choose between a close or distant vision eyeglass prescription in the cataract replacement lens.
(His friends had that and now regret it; vision unclear.) The blind man swore to never go back to glasses and has been doing the Bates Method and now has perception of light, shadow in one eye (the operated one) and another thing I will describe here. He has asked me to post this on iblindness.org and ask if anyone has heard of these symptoms;

Sometime since the blindness occurred, he can't remember when it started, he kept waking up with a picture of a open book in front of his face. He says it was mental; memory, imagination but so real it was like looking right at a book with the eyes. He could see the words and read but was blind. He also developed an entire visual field image of green trees and a blue sky, they move, change color (no it's not like moving colors.. seen when the eyes are strained and closed) and move closer to him and farther away. It's now constant. He has been doing sunning, shifting on the bright sky and there are trees in his yard where he practices looking at the sky with blind eyes. He is able to use shifting, swinging... Bates Method activities on this image. We are hoping it's a sign that the vision is coming back; first with the brains function and soon transfer to the eyes, true vision.
