I've had this problem for a few years but only within the last year has it become more common, when running or doing arobic exercise, sometimes my heart goes into this phase of very fast, feint, beats. It's literally fluttering. My pe teacher in 8th grade measured it at around 120 bpm. This doesnt gradually stop after I stop moving, it continues at the exact same pace for about 20-60 seconds and immediately goes back to normal regular pace. I had a heart monitor on for 24 hours and my doctor couldn't find anything wrong, I'm just supposed to come to them again of it starts doing this more often again. I'm not obese or out of shape, has anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering if it might be a strain related problem.

I am not a doctor, and I'm glad you had it medically checked out. My guess is it's just your system all revved-up, more than is necessary for the situation, extreme fight or flight mode. When I get really nervous or afraid, my heart pounds, and this is happening less and less as I get more relaxed and see more clearly. Just a simple tapping to the side of your collarbone might slow you down sooner, EFT-like. Keep an eye on it -- maybe you are pushing yourself a little too hard.

Sypheren, you would probably benefit from magnesium supplementation. If you aren't comfortable taking supplements you could try soaking your feet in an epsom salt bath after excercise - the magnesium from the bath will be absorbed transdermally. Magnesium has a stabilizing effect on heart rhythm.
