Angela, I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, and it sounds like you learned a great deal in the process, including about yourself. You're right -- the eyes are not separate from the rest of us. Peace and calm and feeling fulfilled will help our entire being, body and mind, and their lack may show up in physical ways, including in the vision. Good for you for your awareness. I'm wishing continued clarity for you. :)

Thank you for this article. It reaffirms what I had been going through over 7 years...resistance & high stress....moving, elder care giving for 3, death of 3, settling an estate and 'loosing' 3 more in that process. I have been given a powerful lesson to learn self love and self respect and now learning to enjoy life more. My vision is improving along with my new 'view' of life.

BlueDog, I agree. This sounds more like a spamming ad than a true comment to me. And yes, there is not a receptive audience on this site for that kind of pro-Lasik message.

AlkalineWater7, I have personal experience with this. I've taken baby steps in the direction of reaching out socially. I praise myself for little successes like approaching the neighbor to chat briefly rather than avoiding him. I honor and appreciate my sensitivity, which many people don't have, rather than thinking something's wrong with me. I do regular emotional work like EFT when I notice that I'm not acting in a way which pleases me. I'd say to approach it more gently, not like a war where you want to kill the enemy. You may not need as much repair as you think, just some small adjustments.

Is there any way to permanently change one's myopic personality? In my case, it needs to go away permanently. It's setting me back, and not to mention it makes me feel uncomfortable in certain situations. I just want to be a relaxed, alert, rational person who can deal with problems in an effective manner, not some tense crab-like introvert that retreats when things get tough.
