Neck relaxation

Been researching Tiger Balm a ancient chinese skin balm for relaxing muscles.
Found out it has clove oil.
Been reading on internet: if the oil is taken correct so not overdose on it, a certain type of clove or clove oil can help reverse macula degeneration? Anyone hear of this?
Says oil can be harmful if take too much but they use it in some tooth fillings.

I think side effects only if taken internally.
I'm not sure about this, just being cautious.
