The "Argument" against Bates-Prentice - otis - 11-22-2008 Subject: Why a medical doctor believes that the Bates method is false. If you are taught in medical school that the eye is PROVEN to be a "box-camera", then you mind is indeed FROZEN on that concept. Once it is frozen in that way -- you will never be able to understand that this is a crude "tradition" that has little strength in pure science. Personally, I do not use the term "exercise" nor "cure", since these terms should not be used to described the proven dynamic behavior of the fundamental eye. But here is the "classic" objection to prevention (by any means).
