I don't have enough knowledge to say, but Bates' Method works if you practice and think right.
So why to mess with those Plus Lenses?

I have only briefly heard about plus lenses. Surely it would be better not to wear any lenses at all and just focus on far away objects?

Bates mention the plus lenses too if i am not wrong. Using reduced glass is also accounted as using plus lenses. Just look at faraway object will result the same thing, infact it is better from my experience.
