People don't realize how powerful their thoughts are. These ideas have been around forever, but there have been a lot of books by many different authors in recent years on the power of emotional energy and the way your thoughts actually go out and affect the spiritual essence of the world in a very real way, attracting a match to the energy you send out. Everyone is a spiritual magnet, like attracting like, the way that with physical magnets opposites attract.
Louise Hay created the Hay Foundation about 20 years ago, starting out to produce a film giving information about alternative therapies available for AIDS, and from there a publishing company was born that works with some amazing authors and speakers like Wayne Dyer and many lesser-known ones who share the wisdom that through the power of your mind, day after day, you are already determining what types of things you attract into your life, whether it's disease, wealth, like-minded people, or negative people who cause you nothing but trouble.
I record several radio show Podcasts for my commute to work every day, mostly shows by psychic/spiritual counselors. My favorites are Wayne Dyer (often on PBS), Collette Baron-Reid, John Holland (who did a special on the History Channel called Psychic History), and Caroline Myss.
