Frequently members ask me to delete all their posts, because they changed their ideas about some things or for some other reason, and they want to start from scratch. Not gonna happen. It's easy enough for me to delete a member and all his posts at once, but it wreaks havoc on the flow of threads where people replied to him. And this policy serves as a reminder to be thoughtful about whether you want something you're about to post to be on here for eternity.
