Bates said that if you stop wearing glasses permanently, your vision will improve just from you ceasing to wear them. Even if you don't notice it, the vision always improves.
Did you notice it when you threw away your glasses?
I wore contact lenses and stopped wearing them immediately when I started the Bates method. I read the test card every day like he said, and within 2 weeks or so, my vision went from approx. 20/60 to about 20/40. Since then improvements have been constant but slower.
