Hello, I'm new here and I just started to know about bates method and I ordered "relearning to see" from Amazon.
But I was wondering, is it possible to learn bates method by just reading books about it? some people say it is just like learning martial arts from books.
Another question, do clear flashes appear after swinging?
It's possible, yes, but you have to be dedicated to it and be willing to spend at least 30 mins a day on the exercises, and longer when possible, and also learn to incorporate some things throughout the day in order to change your seeing habits.
Clear flashes happen after doing any of the exercises correctly, for a long enough time. You may need several minutes or longer to get one, but when you get them seemingly at random throughout the day you'll learn that it's not really to do with the exercises but with dropping the habit of straining your eyes.
