(poll) chat room meeting time - David - 12-05-2007
We used to have some chat room meetings and occasionally had several people in. Click the Chat Room link on the blue bar at the top of the forum to see what it's like. Your browser will probably display security warnings - allow it to install and run the Java applet. You can also connect by IRC.
They're just non-structured informal meeting times, just to have a bunch of people together at once to talk about the Bates method and whatever else. Sometimes chatting is easier than posting back and forth on the forum and waiting for replies.
What time works best for everyone interested?
International members - The times described are US time, -0800 to -0500 GMT, ie: London is 5-8 hours ahead of the US.

I can't even seem to log onto it anymore, always talking about connection refused. I'll figure it out though.

The network is probably blocking your ISP, due to abuse. I don't think there's much you can do about that other than wait to see if it gets unblocked eventually. Unless you know how to use proxies.

Weekdays are actually much better for me, and I'm often gone all day on short notice on the weekends, but next weekend let's try both Saturday and Sunday morning, like 10am US Pacific (1 pm US Eastern, 6pm London). That way at least Europeans have a chance to make it too. If I'm not there, I'll leave myself in the chat room logging the chat to see what day most people show up.

I will be traveling until after the new year from this weekend, so won't be able to make the weekend chat room time. bummer. I hope I can get in on the next one!

Friday evening works the best for me. Saturday afternoon I'm usually busy doing something outside my base, such as skydiving or paintball.
