Since the eyes see with light reflecting off objects it only make sense that when you cover your eyes in such a way to exclude all light (palming)the field should be a perfect black because there is no light hitting the retina.Does anybody agree?So that means that the lights or patches of light the strained eyes see when palming is an illusion.In that respect, Can we imagine we see a perfect black the same way we imagine we see the patches of light?

Yes, the attempt to induce a state where perfect black is seen is the point of practicing palming.
