25 years old, a native of South Korea. A lieutenant of Korean Air Force. Both myopic and astigmatic. I firstly heard of the Bates method 3 years ago when I was a student of some taoist discipline but at that time I didn't take it seriously. During the end of the last year I was seriously considering of having a laser surgery to improve my eyesight but finally gave up after reading a bunch of failure list. Then I recalled the Bates method and I found this site 3 or 4 months ago. I read some of Dr. Bates' work and mostly Use Your Own Eyes and I had a kind of faith with the method. I even think it could be considered in relation with theories of Wilhelm Reich... Due to lousy military chores it took me a long time to stick into practicing the method but now I am ready.
and maybe-off-topic question: a close friend of mine is suffering from keratoconus. I began to wonder if there is something like Bates approach to keratoconus or any advices from Bates-influenced eye specialists/healers. Besides, she has her right eye almost blind - she says that she can only see dark as the night with her right eye only. Some sunning and practices probably give her some help, I guess.
Having already read twice the book, it's still unclear to me what to start with. I will start with sunning and some Snellen chart practices but it's really hard to me keep working without my glasses. I'm browsing some shops to buy a pinhole glass now :
Read Dr. Bates Better Eyesight Magazines. Many treatments for blur... all eye problems including cornea ulcers, scars.
Research some of the things Natural Vision Improvement teachers list on their websites.
