Anyone tried the exercises mentioned in this book?
#16
I think that post is by Mr. Prince Optometrist.
He is trying to shut own central-fixation.com and other Bates, Natural Vision Improvement sites.
He prefers to sell eyeglasses and does not like people learning the natural methods.

This is what Hydra said:

Quote:Yes, you can indeed improve vision naturally. But you certainly won't hear it from an optometrist like 'princeidoc' - these people - for whatever strange reason - don't want you to get cured! There is only one website you need to go to in order to learn how to improve your sight, and it is absolutely free. No scams, no BS. Check it out:

And for the best help, make sure to join our forum:

"One in particular is called rebuild your vision!

Has anyone used this and had any success?!"

Unfortunately, the 'rebuild your vision' is indeed a scam and the eye exercises herein claimed to improve your sight, will NOT work. Do not waste your time or money with programs like that. All the information you need to improve your sight is available on the internet for absolutely FREE. If it isn't FREE it's a scam. In fact, the rebuild your vision program has, in past, even had a lawsuit issued against them.

"Carrots only help night-blindness..."

Carrots can in fact help both night vision AND normal vision. It is not a myth! See here:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname..">http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname..</a><!-- m -->.

"night-blindn... is when your pupil does not move to the way it is supposed to be to capture or takeaway light"

No, this is NOT the definition or reason for night-blindness.

"also, beware of anyone who tries to tell you to use "sunning" or "palming" or any of the other "Bates Method" exercises...that is old, bad science and has been clinically debunked many times:

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.quackwatch.org/01quackeryrela..">http://www.quackwatch.org/01quackeryrela..</a><!-- m -->.

Are you aware that the quackwatch site it self has been debunked on many occasions? For example, once they even said that acupuncture is a load of crap. Yet we know that to be false. Please do not bother to read that crap article that supposedly 'disproves' the Bates Method.

"there is no real way to improve your vision "naturally". the "rebuild your vision" website (i just looked at it) looks like it uses vision therapy to reduce myopia. which does work to some limited extent for *some* people...but only if the cause of their nearsightedness is "near point stress" or "accommodative spasm". if you have refractive myopia (cornea too curved) or axial myopia (eye too long) then those types of exercises will have absolutely zero effect."

And are you aware that many people have been able to re-attain perfect sight, including myself, starting off with other defects such as far-sightedness? No? Then perhaps you should reconsider posting defamatory comments on topics you know so little about. Thank you.

"almost nothing can make you magically "throw away your glasses forever!", etc. "

Please ignore this typical ignorance of the 'professional' ODs, Craig. It'd do you some benefit. Remember that first time you put on glasses? When you had to 'adjust' to them? When, by instinct, you knew your body was rejecting the glasses? And remember those friends at school, who suddenly didn't need glasses anymore?

Good luck restoring your vision naturally.

Kind regards,

Hydra

He says the Rebuild Your Vision is scam and does not say the Bates Method is a scam (its not anyways and we know that!)

Good luck to all,

I think the Bates Method is so well known now that the optical insustry, doctors can no longer bribe politicians to pass laws preventing people from learning, teaching it.
Many eye doctors are teaching it along with their practice.
A doctor down the street in the small city of Worcester, MA teaches it.
More eyeglasses, often a series of weaker and weaker lenses are sold as people buy reduced lenses while their vision improves as they practice the Bates Method.
Natural Vision Improvement teachers refer their students to these doctors so they get a good eye exam and reduced lenses if needed for work, safety driving... A few optical businesses allowed me to place a link to their business on my site for plain reduced eyeglasses, without: tinting, transitions, colored, uv blocking, bifocal, astigmatism correction...

I'm noticing that too. Many people I think are getting fed up with being treated with medication or glasses and not reversing their condition.

People are looking for more natural remedies.

I've looked at quite a lot of sites made by those eye doctors who practice natural vision improvement and I'm glad they do exist!

Good luck to all,
