What Causes the Mental Strain In Your Life?

Mental strain is the main cause of eyesight problems and ailments. If strain can be eliminated from the eyes, eye sight will improve naturally. Teaching the eyes to relax is an important factor in getting rid of vision problems. Unfortunately, outside stressors and strain cannot always be controlled. The only thing we can control is our reaction to outside sources, but those outside factors can really do a number on our eyes.

There are a number of things each day that can cause us stress. Some are within our power to chance, but most are not. Financial problems, heartache, family problems, death, illness, or weather are some of the stressful factors we face in our lives. We may be able to chance a financial situation, heartache, or a family issue, but it’s hard to control the weather or a death.

One thing you always have control of is thought patterns. If negative thoughts are keeping your down, you are the only one who can change that pattern of thought. Dealing with your negative thoughts can actually solve many of the problems we once though were out of our control. Thinking more positive will cause less strain in the family and eliminate those problems. Positive outlook on life can make you feel better and leave you less susceptible to disease and illness.

It is human nature to look for outside sources and reasons for our own negative behavior. We tend to blame other people or the weather or the traffic for our negative thoughts. Although, these outside sources can initially make us angry or frustrated, we are the ones who decide to stay in the negative mind set. Negativity causes stress and strain in our lives and causes excess strain on the eyes.

Take charge of your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Take time to figure out why you are feeling so negative. What is it that is it keeping you upset or frustrated? What steps can you take to fix those problems and emotions? Once you figure out what is causing the emotions, fix it. Don’t wait for others to come and fix it for you, you will be waiting a long time.

Strain and stress is the main cause of eye ailments. Concentrate on positive thinking to increase health and reduce eye strain.

I'm sorry, and maybe I'm missing something, but this sounds like just a bunch of useless "think happy thoughts"-pseudo-newage-psycho-babble. The only person it could possibly help would be someone who could just drop everything and go live like a saint in a monastery. There are many, many mean-spirited (or worse) people with perfect vision! I shouldn't even bother responding to this. I have a real life. With real obligations. And real relationships. Sometimes I'm happy. Sometimes I'm blue. Sometimes I'm a husband, lover, father, son, brother, uncle, employee, teacher, student, community member, leader, follower, volunteer, athlete, sailor, and many other roles - and I'm as likely as not to experience flashes of clear vision during any one of those roles. But never by simply 'thinking happy thoughts". The flash of clear vision does encourage happiness - but not the other way around. I was a very happy child. I became myopic anyway. Your 'theory' doesn't work. I hope I'm not overreacting. The Bates Method allows for a real life. Yours does not. ??? :-\ 8) Anyway, I believe the underlying importance of clear vision (re-)development is in its effect on and relation to human interaction and possibly human interactive consciousness. Not individual happiness. Although that might be a serendipitously and simultaneously indirect result. O0

That's just an optimistic way to say the things...hmm let's say to prevent the worst, and if we start comparing the persons who have perfect vision and the ones not...it's not going to lead to "useful" result, we all know everybody has his own case, from his family, his environment, his lifestyle...we can't change the DNA the persons were born with, but we can "Control" the lifestyle...if we stop saying stress is bad...we will not even "TRY" to "control" it Smile

I really suggest you to read the Law of attraction book, or just try to see the documentary movie about "the secret"...it's going to give you an idea about what I was talking about.

Okay, but before I invest valuable time and energy reading and watching that stuff - have you cured your own bad vision using such 'happy thinking' techniques? 8)

'happy thinking' is one of many techniques make tension less in body and mind.
I ues this in work this make my eye less tired and I can make exercises after work.

I think Sarah makes a good point. When it comes down to it, it has nothing to do with how far away the eye chart is, or what's going on at work, or whatever else is supposedly causing your problems. Guess what the common element in all these stressors is? It's you. The only problem is you. The way we react to light is the way we react to everything else. People often want to be given exercises to "fix" their eyes, instead of using the exercises to learn what's wrong about the way they're seeing. We don't really learn by reading (and I mean learning as opposed to information gathering); we just read to confirm what we already know, and if we don't already know it, then even when it's stated plainly we don't learn it.

Hi everyone,

If you permit to use your own phrase David I would add this.
The way we react to movement is the way we react to everything else.

I find movement to be not very comfortable for myopes.
Also a distinction. I prefer more me moving in the space/world than me still
and other people, objects, cars, devices etc moving around me.

Bates clearly mentions several times in his book about how relaxation and good eyesight intertwine. Relaxation comes from the mind, and is obtained when you feel joy and interest, or can 'let go.'

I don't see how thinking positively could not help.
