Peace in mind
#16
Hey,
Processes need to be under control, else they fade, deteriorate, gets dispersive, or just sinks in the insanity of QT maybe ???

When you palm you get awareness of how your eyes feel, how your whole body feel., what you eat, how you work socially and so on.
Think of it as a measure, or cost function, or some kind of an error with amplitude and direction.
This "cost function" then is a measure of how well you overall are feeling.
You get this awareness when you palm.

Then try to apply it on certain things, for instance you realize a factor that you ate a lot of candy last day, and you apply the "cost function" onto that factor so you stop eat candy, then you palm again later on and notice how your "cost function" improves, then you go on with other factors, might be too much stress, or some feelings you have that have causes that you can undo, might be that you should not be upset over small things and so on, and this starts a recursive iterative sort of algorithm that just lets your processes converge. It must be like this ! It is common sense !

What is not common sense, T, is that a deterministic world can hide behind the QT , on the other side :Smile.
I don't think God would like to live in QT. And Bohm have seen it, smiles like Mona Lisa Big Grin
So I buy your deterministic view Big Grin.

Ah, sometimes you're hard to understand. From what I do understand, I don't think we would see eye to eye on the matter. Smile

Here's a quote from Bill Hicks on view of the world I find cool: " Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration – that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves. ''

There's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we're the imagination of ourselves. ''

I definitely think that there are things that actually are the same thing, but how do you know what is real and not real, so it becomes speculations in the end. For instance I have heard an analogy that all the stars in universe in fact is just our sun, just projected out there, so they would all be the same thing according to that theory. Entanglement is actually some proof that there are things (in the subatomic world) that are the same like you mentioned.

What is quite astonishing is that 2^32 is 4.3E9, that is almost more people than in the whole world.
So what is 32 generations, that is 60 years * 32 generations = 1920 years.
So it would be possible to populate the whole world in that short time.
What is consciousness, all humans first of all, but it is also information information all around us.

Regarding what he says about death (please, do not believe me without first regard it as nonsense Big Grin Big Grin ):
Why do you live now, when the universe have existed in almost an infinite long time, why should you live now, it is very very unlikely that you live now right, because if you just live once then you would already have lived and died once, a long time ago, and that should have been it. Now, you live now, so that is a proof that there is life after death. I have figured that out myself, and I am almost sure that it is true, do doubt from my side.
But, maybe the explanation to that is what you quoted "... consciousness experiencing itself subjectively"

So these are philosofical (did I spell it right ;D ) questions, but I do think it is important for the mind to be clear over these world views because else it could be very bothersome for the mind.
I do think the holistic world view is very positive and you actually get happy out of it, there is no worries, just new possibilities, you give happiness and you get it back, probably you live on in another form after death, and so forth.

Well, my palming is proceeding outstanding ;D

That quote was not meant to be taken seriously, only a thought to ponder on.

I don't believe in any sort of reincarnation and neither in afterlife. I don't think I'd be able to bear the eternity in case there was life after death. I'd die from too much time. Smile

Nice thread here, although the advanced physics is way over my head -
Here is a recent line of thought I had:
My parents were faithful and true to each other, although they were somewhat each other's opposite.
But what if my mother and father had each married someone else and had then had children similar to me and my brothers and sisters? Then wouldn't the 'me' that I currently think I am have been instead two different 'half-me's'?
They would each be halfway mostly the same as I am, and halfway somewhat - maybe very somewhat - different.
So in that sense, who I 'am' is pretty much a fluke of nature.
And in that sense I am far more connected to the rest of humanity in general and to nature in general than I am to my 'self'!
That's why I love other people and nature and the universe I guess.
Because each of us is just a lucky fluke!

Because - and this is important - isn't that exactly what did happen, from some other person's perspective?!
I mean, the other man that my mom might have married - I've seen pictures of her with other boyfriends - and the other woman that my dad might have married - ditto, and he might have married a Japanese woman even - those other people's children could be thinking the same thing about themselves as I am about myself.
Which gives us, complete strangers, something in common in our consciousnesses - based solely on our having parents who knew each other.

James,
That is a good point, I appreciate it, thanks.

What you are trying to explain is fractals:
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bE2EiI-UfsE&feature=fvw">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bE2EiI-UfsE&feature=fvw</a><!-- m -->

The fractals are part of all things in our body, in our brain, in our mind, in nature and in universe.
A tree is a fractal. The tree can be built in an infinite amount of possibilities if you use fractals.
The wholeness is very evident if you study fractals.
For instance all humans is interconnected, it is very evident (for everyone) if you look at the fractal tree.
So that is true that the mind is part of a universal consciousness due to this.

Next thing is the "measurement problem".
The attention/awareness creates what you look at.
<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udhR2Sva8XU&feature=related">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=udhR2Sva ... re=related</a><!-- m -->
The subconscious is very active when it comes to this matter.
The subconscious builds your interpretation of the world around you.

So if it should be the two "me" case that you describe then the subconscious rearrange such that the interpretation of the world becomes as the subconscious wants it and it is "the I". So your "I" is a fractal code sequence identifying the birth circumstances and deviations are filtered such that you are not aware of them.

Why is peace in mind important, because when you communicate with other people you do it with your eyes. Th people you communicate with judge you through your eyes, because the mind is mirrored in the eyes. If you are tired it will show up in your eyes. If you are sad it shows up in your eyes. If you are sad and pretends to be happy it will show up in your eyes. If you are really happy it shows up in your eyes. If you are unhealthy it shows up in your eyes. If you are unintelligent it will also show up in your eyes. If you are a bad listener or nervouse it will also show up in your eyes, etcetra. So who you are, what state you are in, what goals and attitude you have will show up in your eyes. This all manifests in your eyes. When you palm you improve your communication skills, because it becomes evident what good things that you want shall manifest, for instance access to your complete mind skills.

I just got the thought, the mind is like a ... pan flute. Big Grin
I am not kidding.

It takes meditative centralisation to play each tone of the pan flute,
and you need to keep notice of the tone in its context of simple wholeness beauty.
All tones are part of the melody.

The most relaxing music comes from nature !
For instance the Nightingale song, the Master ! Talk about peace in mind when listening to it.

I didn't know there were such peacefull places on earth like Havasupai in Grand Canyon.
I just let this peacefull place and music in this video fill my eyes, energize them, relax them, let the amazing blue colour persist as a new continuum in my mind:

Who are you ? Peace and Stress Relief, you are the soul, the controller, that stays in the forehead, responsible for vision,
when you close your eyes, relax and touch your forehead with your fingers you see the warmth of peace:

Today I realized that the eyes seems to have magnetic fields analogous to the magnetic fields of the earth.
The solar wind of change:
