How do I teach this to a five year old?

Any ideas on how to teach this to a five year old to prevent the five year old from getting glasses for headaches?

Palming. Dr. Bates wrote about a small child curing a stomachache at the dinner table from eating too fast by palming -- kids really take to this simple tool.

A headache doesn't mean try even harder! It means it's time for a break to calm yourself.

I guess my question is more of how to teach then palming. Tell them to concentrate on counting from 1-5 while relaxing and having their eyes lightly closed? Is that how I should do it or is there a better manner more understandable by that age group?

There are a lot of examples of Bates teaching palming(and other relaxation methods) in his Better Eyesight Magazines. Five year olds are in general easier to teach, as they most likely have not adopted strained vision habits.
