Just curious about if everyone has similar feelings.

For me, I had headache. The pain is so strong that palming did not work. I used cigarettes and walking to relax myself.

It certainly takes some getting used to. Its quite similar to getting used to glasses for the first time. 3 weeks or a couple months of very noticeable eye pain and then it pans off. Assuming you aren't forcing your eyes to do a million things and you simply gradually wear them less and less, it shouldn't be too much trouble. Best way to start is not where your glasses while reading or indoors, then adapting to not having them on when outside,etc. Its the initial shock of realize just how serious of a problem lowered vision actually is without the crutches protecting you anymore, certainly takes some adjustment.

Maybe it is easier for you to get used gradually, that is not wearing glasses only for a few hours per day in the beginning.

If you get a headache, that's a sign of too much strain, you are putting in too much effort in seeing as clearly as possible without glasses. To avoid this here an advice: Try to see only "what is there actually", not in a 'judging' way like: "oh, this is too blurry, I should see it more distinctly".
Allow yourself to see blurry, this takes a lot of strain away and with the relaxation, your sight will improve much more easily.

When you tell yourself: "It is good, what ever I see, let's just make the best of it." you will soon discover more and more details in the blur without putting yourself under pressure.

The most impressive example how one can proceed, I found in Bates' book:

" When asked to describe the big C with unaided vision he said it looked grey to him, and that the opening was obscured by a grey cloud to such an extent that he had to guess that it had an opening."

Then, with the help of his knowledge of the real image of the letter and the use of imagination, he became able to see it as it really is:

"He was told that the letter was black, perfectly black, and that the opening was perfectly white, with no grey cloud; and the card was brought close to him so that he could see that this was so. When he again regarded the letter at the distance, he remembered its blackness so vividly that he was able to imagine that he saw it just as black as he had seen it at the near-point, with the opening perfectly white; and therefore he saw the letter on the card perfectly black and distinct."

But the first and very important step is to take enough time to become aware of what is actually seen, "a blurry grey letter with a hardly recognizable opening obscured by a grey cloud".
Most of the time we are so impatient, that we just skip this step and try to proceed to an improvement of the actual vision directly, which is not possible.
