So if near work doesn't cause nearsightedness, then what does besides staring, squinting, and not focusing with your center of vision?  Maybe they have LCD screens.

I have never used a CRT monitor for a llllllooonnng time(Apart from a few times at school) yet I am short sighted and I do use my pc a fair bit.
