Several times I've released some tension in the cheek area of my face by massaging around my jaw hinge in front of and slightly below the ear. My entire face gets hot so I know tension is moving out.

Cover one eye and see if the swing from right to left, then from left to right, is the same with just that one open eye. With both eyes open the stronger one may be taking over.
