I need help :/

I got given glasses 2 years ago for a 0.05 lenses (i believe) so obviously not very strong ones. I never wore them ever because i read that glasses arent beneficial when correction eyesight. But now i can see a detioration in my eyes almost every day now. i know its because i spend crap loads of time on the computer. so far im doing palming, and looking at a word far away then closing my eyes and imagining it darker and repeating. What else should i be doing? its freaking me out because im noticing how awful my eyesightr is getting rapidly. and obviously in the Bates book it doesnt mention anything about computer etc. So wehat are the steps for overcoming that? how many breaks should i take? and is it bad to look at your phone in the dark?
