Reading the smallest letterS, would be more accurate, he never advocated staring at one letter for an extended period of time. Quite the contrary. Bates never described using the eyechart in the manner that you define, as "print pushing." Your sweeping generalizations that ALL Bates teachers and sites ignore using an eyechart is, just silly.
