Proving to yourself the facts

Bates said that if the patients can prove to themselves that staring,eccentric fixation,and effort lowers there vision they can avoid it and thus can cure themselves faster.I proved to myselve that staring does make the image fade and when I centralized on each word it started to clear up(eccentric fixation part).But how can I prove to myselve or show to myselve that perfect vision requires no effort?I have a hard time grasping the fact that perfect vision requires no effort what so ever.

one of the wisest men once remarked that 'habit is the deepest law of human nature'. you will have to repeatedly demonstrate to yourself the facts, the subconscious mind is kind of stubborn you see.

as for perfect sight being effortless, its a good thought to constantly have in mind as a guiding factor, keep thinking it. I am not sure as to its efficacy in materially improving vision though, since for most of us, the reference point we have for the normal (and therefore, effortless) vision was so long ago.
