new here. Have few questions.

I only found out about this yesterday so i'm not too well versed yet in the method. I do have a few big questions though. Will wearing contacts or glasses for short periods of time(driving, school, etc) undo progress. Also. I found a jpeg image of a Snellen chart which i have set as my computer background. Is it OK to do shifting using a computer monitor (19 inch LCD) or would that be a complete waste of time?

Eyeglasses block vision improvement.
If you can, try reduced, weaker 20/40 lenses and shift, use correct eye function/habits when wearing the glases and when without glasses.
Try to go without glasses as much as possible.
Keep a weaker, reduced pair of glasses ready, so you can switch to them when vision improves (if you still need glasses for a while) and avoid the strong glasses that will prevent vision improvement.
Contacts can injure the cornea.
The shape of the eye/cornea changes often and even more often when practicing Bates method as the eye/cornea returns to normal shape.
The contacts will not fit the changing cornea shape and can scrape, injure, infect, scar the cornea.

Just use your eyes normally on the computer; avoid staring, squinting.
Shift when looking at objects. Eye movement, relaxation keeps the eyes comfortable and vision clear.
