Just like Dr Bates disappeared,i will be disappearing from my short stay on this forum.The reason being,i no longer have eye problems so i feel out of place here.I intend to start investigating the Alexander Technique.Before i go i would like to make a recommendation ,and that is if you have not already done so,i strongly recommend the purchase of the book,"The Art of Seeing" by Aldous Huxley,and here are my reasons for the recommendation. While Dr Bates was a brilliant doctor,he was not a writer by profession,and it's my opinion that his book could have been laid out better,and his method explained in a better fashion.On the other hand ,while Huxley was not a doctor, he was a brilliant writer,with a brilliant mind,and it could be argued, that Huxley learned the Bates Method and applied his brilliant thinking to the method and why it worked ,to the point that he understood the Bates Method better than Dr Bates himself.We must remember that Huxley overcame what seemed like unsurmountable odds,to regain his sight,and went on to write some of the best known books of the twentieth century,with out glasses.By reading Huxley's book you will be encourage by his story, to continue with the Bates Method,and you will learn how Huxley used the Bates Method in almost every situation.Thank you all ,may you all be successful in your quest for better sight without glasses,and a toast to Dr Bates who was a genius, a gentleman and a hero. blackspot

I don't think you are out of place here, it sounds like you have experience and knowledge that might benefit others. Could you explain which eye problems you overcame and how you did it? What did you feel was most productive and what didn't work? What can you tell us about your experience that might help other people who are struggling with similar problems?
