its common sense the center is not refracted. use your finger to make a pinhole and hold it up your eye. It does not take a "medical person" to "figure this out".

farsighted people wear plus lenses. Almost ALL people over 60 need plus lenses to read. I have yet to see a 60 year old who can read fine print at a few inches. The plus does not cause these problems ...
