Dear Joe, Most ODs write the "astigmatism" as negative. If that is the case then divide by 1/2 and SUBTRACT from the spherical. This would make your you Snellen reading worse. Best, Otis

Just a suggestion. Since you are "reading" a Snellen (an excellent idea) could you post the line you read? Probably about 20/100 to 20/70 from your -2 diopter prescription. So, as you vision begins...
