if you are having alot of difficulty seeing in class, i would suggest you get a weak minus -0.25D, -0.5D and use it only for the blackboard. But never use the minus for close work. you want to take ...

when you expose the eye to sunlight or any sort of bright light source for a few minutes, the pupils shrink greatly, thus increasing your depth of field. Your vision will be much better for a few mins...
