Well I observed people with glasses too and I didn't notice any difference. They were blinking just like everybody else. But maybe I should start paying more attantion to this again.

You have very high myopia so I would advise you to wear a lowered perscription for close work. Maybe something in the range of -5 to -4 and for distance vision a lowered perscription by -0.5 so -6.25 ...
