Maybe. Dave's right -- all it tells you is that you can see the lower chart letters (20 line instead of 40 line) at the 20-foot distance. When I became aware how freaked out I was about the whole idea...

Yes, you should be blinking every 2 or 3 seconds, gently. Bates did write about this. Also make sure you're drinking enough water (caffeinated drinks don't count as they dehydrate you).
